Post-stroke delivery of neurotrophic factor MANF promotes functional recovery in rats

The neurotrophic factor MANF is neuroprotective when administered before experimental stroke. MANF also promoted reversal of stroke-induced behavioural impairments when administered directly into rat brain tissue 2 to 3 days after stroke.
